President of India Pratibha Patil addresses IIT Bombay's convocation

My alma mater IIT Bombay celebrated its 46th convocation yesterday (08-08-08). President of India Pratibha Patil addressed the convocation as the chief guest. Incidentally the President of India is the most powerful person in the organizational structure of IITs, and Indian central universities being their ex officio Visitor. Like the governor of an Indian state is the chancellor of all the universities in that state, President of India is the visitor for IIT’s.

After an offbeat debut in Swami, choreographer-turned-director Ganesh Acharya has tried his hand at comedy. And his new film, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, starring Govinda [Images] and a host of actors, sure is funny in parts.

Money Hai is a story of six losers, Bobby (Govinda), Lalbhai (Manoj Bajpai [Images]), Gaurav (Aftab Shivdasani [Images]), Shruti (Celina Jaitley [Images]), Manik (Upen Patel [Images]) and Ashima Kapoor (Hansika Motwani [Images]). Today is the 60th birthday of Mr. Ajit Balakrishnan, CEO of Rediff.com.

Balakrishnan sits on the government committee reviewing the Indian Information Technology Act. His life and vision is an inspiration for the aspiring youth.
